You Hack Therefore I Am®

The name You Hack Therefore I Am® is a playful nod to René Descartes' famous philosophical statement, "I think, therefore I am."

The artwork is equally intentional.

It draws inspiration from Auguste Rodin's iconic sculpture, The Thinker. Rather than depicting a philosopher contemplating the nature of existence, the artwork reimagines The Thinker as a hacker seated in the same contemplative pose.

The image is not about computers.

It is about curiosity.

This visual metaphor is central to the brand.

Both philosophers and hackers begin by asking questions. Philosophers explore ideas, knowledge, and the nature of the world. Hackers explore systems, technology, software, networks, and how data behaves.

Both are driven by the same desire:

To understand.

The word hacker has become closely associated with cybercrime, but its original meaning is much broader. At its core, a hacker is someone who enjoys exploring, experimenting, questioning assumptions, taking things apart, and discovering how things work.
